As a sandbox DM, the ideas mentioned in this blog post align with my worldbuilding style. The underlying premise to this article is this: Should the world level up with the players? Or phrased differently, do the low level monsters get replaced by higher level creatures? The short answer is "no" (read the article) and instead those high level creatures should already exist, scattered throughout your world, ready for your players to discover.
