How many liches does your world have? - Scroll for Initiative

As a sandbox DM, the ideas mentioned in this blog post align with my worldbuilding style. The underlying premise to this article is this: Should the world level up with the players? Or phrased differently, do the low level monsters get replaced by higher level creatures? The short answer is "no" (read the article) and instead those high level creatures should already exist, scattered throughout your world, ready for your players to discover.

Random tables... don't suck, actually? - Trekiros

If random encounter tables seem like a waste of time and you don't understand how anybody gets memorable stories out of them, then check out this video. I've really been enjoying Trekiros content, he's got a great mind for design.

Keep 'Em Broke - The Distillery

A lot of DMs struggle with their players developing a large pile of cash, and nothing to do with it. It can begin to chip away at the players investment into certain expeditions, especially when the reward is just more gold. This blog post offers up a bunch of options to explore in order to drain your players pockets and keep them from feeling like they're the richest rapscallions in town.
